Where does the citric acid in the product come from?
The citric acid in the FitLine products is extracted via a natural fermentation process, taken from carbohydrate-containing raw materials (e.g. beetroot or corn). Citric acid is extracted with similar fermentative processes since over a hundred years. In contrast, the production of citric acid extracted from lemons is a multilevel chemical process. By the current state, this process is not very environmentally sustainable, since it requires a lot of different chemicals.
